Wild Idea had the privilege earlier this summer of hosting students bound for their senior year at The Westminster Christian Academy. This visit was part of the school’s “Restoration on the Plains” summer seminar.
Dan took the young scholars out to one of our pastures where the conversation turned to an often under appreciated benefit of perennial prairie grass - helping keep our planet habitable.
Another example of of so called progress disrupting Gods natural order of things.
Excellent reportage, merci pour vos actions.
Very interesting. You have a good product and keep up the good work. May God bless and have a great day. Bob
Lucky kids from Westminster. Good basic video with a lot of meat, something which is not often seen in our digital fetish with cell internet video which is mostly superficial and without merit. Keep them coming and perhaps some of us both young and old will learn. Regards, Gary
Yes – and the same government that constantly reminds us of the “carbon footprint” subsidizes farmers to plant GMO corn with Monsanto pesticides to destroy the prairie ecosystem. I read that over 6 million acres of prairie grass meadows and fields in Nebraska alone have been plowed under and replaced with toxic corn in just the last 8 years of the Obama administration – paid for by taxpayers like you and me!

Excellent discussion. Do we know what percentage of the grass is lost each year as farming increases?
