This week, I established care with a new physician. He asked the usual questions about medications, exercise, stress, and sleep—though we spent most of our time discussing food and its impact on our health.
According to my doctor, the number one thing you can do for your mental and physical well-being is to follow these 10 Food Commandments.
Five Problematic Foods
- Cereal Grains & Gluten (e.g., wheat, rye, barley, corn, rice, oats)
- Grain-Fed Meat
- GMO Foods (due to pesticides)
- Sugar & Artificial Sweeteners
- Vegetable Oils (e.g., safflower oil, corn oil, sunflower oil, soybean oil, canola oil)
Five Foods that Help
- Seafood (especially oysters and mussels)
- Grass-Fed-and-Finished Meat (e.g., buffalo, beef, lamb)
- Leafy Greens & Herbs (e.g., watercress, spinach, turnip, Swiss chard, collard greens, kale, cilantro, basil, parsley)
- Peppers (e.g., bell, serrano, jalapeño)
- Cruciferous Vegetables (e.g., cauliflower, kohlrabi, red cabbage, broccoli, Brussels sprouts)
My new doctor became Wild Idea's newest customer after I told him we help solve the problem of grain-fed meat and we're part of the solution for grass-fed meat.
It made my heart happy to know that mainstream medicine is finally recommending what we've long known: that grass-fed-and-finished meat is some of the healthiest food you can eat. On behalf of the Wild Idea team thank you for supporting Wild Idea on our journey to heal humans and our home planet.
