In this short (30 sec video) Dan expresses his frustration on news reports of tourists approaching buffalo in an attempt to either snap a quick selfie, or to pet them. So... don’t pet the fluffy cows!
We hope you enjoy Dan's IMPORTANT Public Service Announcement! And, please feel free to spread the word!

Dan and Jill et al, you will love this recent article in “The Atlantic”: “Trees Are Overrated”:

I’m sharing it with all I know .
Too funny! And love you pointing out the stupidity of people approaching buffalo in the parks. They need blunt talk!!
Hahaaa, A great One 😂
Great message and well done. That is why we have telephoto lenses on our phones and cameras. We can snap great shots and leave the animals un-molested.
Absolute great PSA! Thank you for the humorous anecdote to the otherwise continuous stream of reports of individuals just making stupid mistakes. Love it!
People who try to get up close to wild 🦬 buffalo (for picture taking) are just asking for trouble😵💫🥴🤔 that they will not be able to handle.
Humans do crazy things at times …. just look around !!!
LOVE IT! Now, if we could just get everyone to watch it.
Dan, thank you for the “public service announcement.” Living next to our beautiful national parks, we are constantly hearing about one tourist after another getting too close to wildlife and being injured. As a result, one more bison or one more bear is put down or captured due the selfishness of some tourist wanting to get a “selfie” with an animal. Thank you for all you and the WIld Idea crew do to provide us with healthy, sustainable meat.
