A Dose of Nutritional Facts
What to eat and what is in our food can be difficult to know. False claims and the misuse of labeling doesn’t help. We always want to be transparent with our customers and recently had our Ground Buffalo retested to offer you solid nutritional data.
Wildness Retained
For fifty years my days and dreams have been haunted by falcons, eagles, and hawks.

The Return of the American Bison
You are going to love this short film, "The Return of the American Bison," produced by Nebraska Educational Television. It features our very own Dan O'Brien, with the majority of the bison footage filmed on our ranch. The drone shots are spectacular, and they will give you a better idea of where your buffalo meat comes from and how it is raised. You don’t want to miss it!
What Is Regenerative Agriculture?
There are many words that individuals, companies, farmers and ranchers use to help inform you, the consumer, on what makes them different. Inevitably, those words (natural, organic, sustainable, free range, etc) are hijacked by master marketers who put their spin on them and attach them to products that simply do not measure up.

My Journey to Health & Wellness
Wild Idea Buffalo is on the top of my list as high-quality meat purveyors to recommend to clients. As many of you know their practices go far beyond the gold standard of the paleo/primal world’s “grass-fed” and create a category of their own.
Giving Tuesday 2017
'Tis the season for giving! This year with your help, we were able to deliver a check for $622.86 and a $311.43 box of nutritious buffalo meat to “The Club For Boys” on Giving Tuesday. These gifts may not seem like a lot, but for a small specialty food company (food companies are typically among the lowest gross margin businesses), it’s a big deal.
Two Announcements!
Wild Idea Buffalo Co. was this years recipient of their communities Sustainability award!
